What Is An IP Camera?Edit
An IP Camera is a camera that is not required to be connected to a computer or device to provide output to the Internet, minus any equipment required for the Internet connection. IP cameras contain their own stand alone operating systems.
This is different than a webcam which has a requirement to be connected to a computer or device to do the same. In many cases, IP cameras can provide pictures, video and audio. Features of IP cameras and what they provide are based on their brands and models.
