xrandr is a program that allows you to adjust screen resolutions for your monitor.
  • option 1: Set to a specified resolution
    • execute: xrandr -s 800x600
  • Option 2: Set to a preset resolution (Recommended)
    • Execute: xrandr—verbose
      to see all the possible modes

$ xrandr --verbose
